You Wont Find Home Again My Son Lyrics

When Missing Loved Ones Becomes a Lifestyle
I grew upwardly missing people. My father was a company man — a corporate nomad — so when information technology came time to motility again, nosotros packed upwards and went where the career opportunities led him.
The only place he always declined to move was Utah. That's considering no one in their right mind agrees to move to Utah. (Hey, no offense.)
Growing up, I missed friends, neighbors, and classmates beyond vi states. Relationships were temporary. Living hundreds of miles from relatives, nosotros visited them once or twice a year. For 7 years, my dad worked second shift and so he could climb that corporate ladder; often I missed him, too.
When I attended higher, naturally it was out-of-country. Then, I landed a corporate job much like his and continued the nomadic lifestyle of corporate relocations and missing people.
Once I became a parent, however, I sought to ensure that my own daughter didn't grow up missing people she loved. I wanted to give her the souvenir of being "from" somewhere. I wanted to give her the gift of not continually feeling loss or separation from all that was familiar.
We now live a stone'southward throw from my parents and other family unit. Corporate nomads eventually find their oasis, and information technology's rarely at the top of the organizational ladder.

The songs that touched my heart after losing loved ones may not even have been ones similar this, but ones that we used to sing together or had other meanings. Time does heal the initial pain of losing loved ones, difficult equally that is to believe when we first lose loved ones.
As to your daughter, having a habitation base and long-lasting friendships, she is fortunate. Some families have no choice in the matter. I am thinking of armed forces families, those who serve as diplomats, etc.

I met my soulmate while living in Europe as a teenager. We'd spend ours days dreaming near a time to come together. Just, her family abruptly left the state and disappeared. The day I watched her board the plane crying is among the worst days of my life.
We knew we'd probably never see each other over again and promised to e'er recall, and discover each other in the adjacent life.
In the years since, I've searched, just never found any trace of her.
And, while my life went on, I've never forgotten her.
The vocal that ever makes me stop and think nearly her and what could have been is "Who Wants to Alive Forever" by Queen. Like in the song, we simply weren't fated to exist together. But, nosotros had our one sweet moment - our forever.

Some nice writing and some adept tunes.
The juxtaposition of songs nearly real, raw actual emotion to some of the fabricated up nonsense concerning "micro-aggressions" on college campuses today is startling. Nosotros used to use things like music to cope with anxiety and low. And so we moved to drugging virtually a whole social club and at present we are beginning to encounter a generation that act as if they are then frail you tin't even ask where they were built-in for fear of hurting their feelings.
